Số 1. Truyện ngụ ngôn tiếng Anh: The Hare and the tortoise
Nội dung truyện ngụ ngôn tiếng Anh
Once upon a time, in a peaceful forest, there lived a curious and speedy hare, and a wise and patient tortoise. One hot summer day, the hare felt a strong thirst and decided to quench it at a nearby pool. As he reached the pool, he noticed the slow-moving tortoise taking a leisurely stroll.
Feeling a bit mischievous, the hare couldn’t resist mocking the tortoise. “Oh, dear tortoise, you move so slowly! I can run circles around you,” he said with a laugh.
The tortoise, though hurt by the hare’s words, remained calm and replied, “Perhaps you are right, dear hare, but I believe that slow and steady wins the race.”
The hare laughed even harder. “Race? Ha! There’s no competition between us. You’ll never beat me,” he boasted.
But the tortoise was determined to prove his point. “Why don’t we have a race, then? Let’s see who reaches that hilltop first,” the tortoise suggested, pointing towards a distant hill.
The hare couldn’t believe his ears. He thought it would be a piece of cake to win against the slow tortoise. So, he gladly accepted the challenge with a confident smile.
The next morning, as the sun began to rise, both the hare and the tortoise gathered at the starting point. The other forest creatures had gathered to witness the unusual race between the fastest and the slowest.
With the signal, the race began, and the hare shot off like an arrow from a bow. He was so fast that he disappeared from sight within seconds. The tortoise, on the other hand, started at a steady and unhurried pace.
As the hare raced ahead, he noticed how far behind the tortoise was. He felt quite pleased with himself and thought he had plenty of time to spare. So, he decided to take a quick break and enjoy some delicious greens along the way.
With his belly full, the hare found a comfortable spot under a shady bush and lay down for a nap. The warmth of the sun and the rustling of leaves soon lulled him to sleep.
Meanwhile, the tortoise continued his slow but steady journey. He didn’t stop to rest or get distracted. Instead, he kept his focus on the finish line.
When the hare finally woke up from his nap, he felt rejuvenated and ready to win the race. But as he rushed towards the finish line, he was astonished to find the tortoise already there, calmly waiting with a smile on his face.
“How can this be?” the hare exclaimed, completely dumbfounded. “I was so sure I would win!”
The tortoise replied kindly, “You were fast, my friend, but you underestimated the power of consistency and determination. Slow and steady may seem like a small progress, but it can lead to great achievements.”
The hare realized his mistake and felt humbled by the tortoise’s wisdom. From that day on, he learned the value of patience and perseverance. The forest creatures, impressed by the tortoise’s victory, applauded him for his remarkable accomplishment.
And so, the wise and patient tortoise proved that sometimes, the race is not always won by the fastest, but by the one who stays committed and focused till the end. The hare, in turn, became a friend of the tortoise, and together they enjoyed many more adventures in the enchanted forest.

Số 2. Truyện ngụ ngôn tiếng Anh cho bé: Puppies for sale
Nội dung truyện ngụ ngôn tiếng Anh cho bé
Once upon a time, there was a compassionate store owner who decided to sell puppies in his store. As he put up a sign that read “Puppies for Sale” above his door, he knew that children would be drawn to it, and he was right.
Soon enough, a curious little boy appeared at the store, filled with excitement. He asked the store owner, “How much are you gonna sell those puppies for?” The store owner replied, “Anywhere from $30 to $50.”
With eager eyes, the little boy checked his pocket and found he had $2.37 in change. “Can I look at them?” he asked. The store owner happily obliged and whistled to call the puppies. Out of the back of the store, his dog came running, followed by five adorable little puppies. However, one of the puppies was lagging behind, limping with every step.
The little boy noticed the struggling puppy and asked, “What’s wrong with that little dog?” The store owner explained that the puppy had a bad hip socket from birth and would limp for the rest of its life.
Instead of being discouraged, the little boy’s eyes filled with determination. “That’s the puppy I want to buy!” he declared. The store owner was taken aback and said, “No, you don’t want to buy that little dog. If you really want him, I’ll give him to you.”
But the little boy grew upset at the suggestion. He looked straight into the man’s eyes and said, “I don’t want you to give him to me. He is worth every bit as much as the other dogs, and I’ll pay the full price. In fact, I will give you $2.37 now and 50 cents every month until I have him paid for.”
The man tried to dissuade the boy, saying, “You really don’t want to buy this puppy, son. He’s never gonna be able to run, jump, and play like other puppies.” But the determined boy rolled up his pant leg to reveal a badly twisted, crippled left leg supported by a big metal brace.
With a heartfelt expression, the little boy looked up at the man and said, “Well, I don’t run so well myself, and the little puppy will need someone who understands.” The man was deeply moved, and tears welled up in his eyes. He smiled and said, “Son, I hope and pray that each and every one of these puppies will have an owner as special and compassionate as you.”
And so, the little boy took the limping puppy home with him, providing love, care, and understanding to a fellow soul in need. Their bond grew strong, and together they found happiness in each other’s company, proving that love knows no boundaries and that empathy and compassion make the world a better place for all beings.

Nội dung truyện bằng tiếng Anh
Every day, a diligent shepherd would take his cows out for grazing in the lush pastures. Each cow had a bell tied around its neck, which made a melodious sound as they roamed, allowing the shepherd to keep track of their whereabouts. Among the herd, there was one special cow with a precious and costly bell that had a sweet and enchanting tone.
One sunny morning, as the shepherd led his cows to graze, a stranger happened to pass by the pasture. The stranger’s eyes were drawn to the exquisite and expensive bell adorning the neck of the best cow. Intrigued, he approached the shepherd and inquired if he would be willing to sell the bell.
At the sight of the gleaming bell and the glimmer of gold in his mind, the shepherd’s eyes lit up with greed. He pondered the offer for a moment, thinking of the extra coins he could gain from selling the bell. And without considering the consequences, he finally agreed to the stranger’s proposal to sell the precious bell.
As the bell changed hands, the stranger walked away, leaving the shepherd with a sense of satisfaction over the extra money he had earned. However, little did he know that his decision would lead to regret and sorrow.
With the valuable bell gone, the shepherd could no longer hear the sweet sound of his best cow grazing nearby. He had lost the only way to keep track of her location. Each day, he searched tirelessly for his beloved cow, but she remained elusive, and her joyful presence was nowhere to be found.
Opportunely, the cunning stranger seized the chance to carry out a devious plan. Under the cover of night, he stealthily made his way back to the pasture and quietly led the precious cow away. The shepherd awoke the next morning, only to find his best cow missing, along with the very bell he had foolishly sold.
The shepherd was filled with remorse and grief, realizing that his own greed had cost him dearly. He understood that the pursuit of a few extra coins had led him to lose something much more valuable – his cherished cow.
From that day on, the shepherd learned a valuable lesson about the consequences of greed. He vowed never to let his desire for material gain cloud his judgment again. Số 5. Truyện ngụ ngôn bằng tiếng Anh: The two cats and a monkey
Nội dung truyện bằng tiếng Anh
Once upon a time, in a forest, two clever cats stumbled upon a delicious piece of cheese. Excited about their find, they quickly decided to share the cheese equally. However, they soon realized that one piece was slightly larger than the other, and both cats desired the bigger piece.
Not wanting to quarrel amongst themselves, the cats decided to seek the wisdom of a wise monkey who lived nearby. They approached the monkey and explained their predicament, hoping for a fair solution.
The monkey, with a smile, assured the cats, “Fear not, my dear friends. I shall make both pieces equal for you.” The cats felt relieved and watched attentively as the monkey took a bite from the larger piece. But to their surprise, this only made the other piece larger.
The clever monkey then took a bite from the smaller piece, causing the same problem to occur in reverse. It continued this back-and-forth act, skillfully taking bites from each piece to make them equal. However, with each bite, the cheese pieces grew smaller and smaller.
The cats grew anxious, realizing that the cheese was rapidly disappearing before their eyes. They could see that the monkey’s strategy was not going to lead to a satisfactory outcome.
Finally, the cats couldn’t bear it any longer and pleaded with the monkey, “Sir! Please stop. We are content with the cheese as it was. Let us have the pieces now.”
The cunning monkey, with a glint of mischief in its eyes, replied, “Ah, my dear cats, this is my fee for solving your dilemma.” And in a quick motion, the monkey gobbled up the remaining cheese.
The cats were taken aback by the monkey’s trickery. They learned a valuable lesson that day – not to trust cunning tricks, for they may lead to unintended consequences. The cats left the forest, disappointed but wiser, vowing to rely on their own cleverness in the future.
From that day on, whenever they came across a challenge, the cats relied on their instincts and worked together to find a solution. And they never forgot the monkey’s lesson, reminding themselves to be cautious of those who might take advantage of their goodwill.

Số 6. Truyện ngụ ngôn ngắn bằng tiếng Anh: The Shepherd’s Boy
Nội dung truyện ngụ ngôn ngắn bằng tiếng Anh
Once in a quiet village, there lived a young Shepherd Boy who tended his sheep at the base of a mountain, near a dark and mysterious forest. His days were often lonely, and he longed for some excitement and companionship. So, he hatched a mischievous plan to add a little thrill to his days.
The mischievous boy rushed down towards the village, shouting at the top of his lungs, “Wolf, Wolf!” Hearing his cries for help, the villagers came running out to meet him. Concerned for the boy and his sheep, some of them stayed with him for quite a while, offering comfort and support. This delighted the boy so much that he decided to try the same trick again a few days later.
Once more, he cried out, “Wolf, Wolf!” And just as before, the villagers rushed to his aid, believing that the boy was in danger. The boy chuckled to himself, enjoying the attention he received.
However, fate has a way of turning things around. Not long after, a real Wolf emerged from the dark forest and began to attack the sheep. In genuine fear, the boy cried out desperately, “Wolf, Wolf!” But this time, the villagers, who had been deceived twice before, were hesitant to respond. They thought the boy might be playing another trick on them.
No one rushed to help the boy this time, leaving him to face the Wolf alone. Unfortunately, the Wolf seized the opportunity and devoured the boy’s flock, leaving the young Shepherd Boy devastated.
When the boy went to the villagers to complain about the loss of his sheep, the wise man of the village spoke up. He said, “A liar will not be believed, even when he speaks the truth.” The boy’s previous deceits had eroded the villagers’ trust in him, and now, even when he was telling the truth about the Wolf, they doubted his words.
The moral of the story is clear: dishonesty and deceit can destroy trust and credibility, making it difficult for others to believe even when one speaks the truth. Honesty and integrity are invaluable virtues that should never be compromised.
Số 7. Truyện ngụ ngôn tiếng Anh hay: The jay and the peacock
Nội dung truyện bằng tiếng Anh
Once upon a time, a mischievous Jay decided to explore a yard where majestic Peacocks often roamed. To his delight, he found a collection of feathers that had fallen from the Peacocks during their molting season. Fascinated by their beauty, the Jay had a cunning idea.
He gathered all the vibrant feathers and skillfully attached them to his own tail. With his newly adorned plumage, he proudly strutted towards the Peacocks, hoping to impress them and be accepted into their regal company.
As the Jay approached the Peacocks, they soon saw through his deceptive act. They recognized their own feathers adorning the Jay’s tail and felt indignant at his audacity. They confronted the imposter, pecking at him and swiftly plucking away the borrowed plumes.
Humiliated and exposed, the Jay had no choice but to retreat and return to his fellow Jays, who had observed the entire incident from a safe distance. However, his fellow Jays were not sympathetic to his plight. They scolded him, saying, “It is not only fine feathers that make fine birds.”
The wise Jays meant to teach the Jay a valuable lesson: true beauty and greatness come from within, not just from outward appearances. The borrowed plumes could not change the Jay’s identity or essence, and trying to imitate others without being genuine would only lead to embarrassment and rejection.
From that day forward, the Jay learned the importance of being true to himself and embracing his own unique qualities. He realized that he didn’t need to mimic others to be respected and admired. Instead, he focused on developing his own strengths and virtues, earning the respect of his fellow Jays through his authentic actions.
And so, the Jay learned the invaluable lesson that it is not external adornments, but one’s genuine character and behavior, that define a true and admirable individual. He became wiser and more content, soaring with confidence as his own remarkable self.

Số 8. Truyện ngụ ngôn tiếng Anh: The two crabs
Nội dung truyện ngụ ngôn tiếng Anh
On a beautiful day, two Crabs decided to venture out of their home and take a leisurely stroll on the sandy shore. The mother Crab noticed that her child was walking in a rather clumsy and ungraceful manner, twisting and turning from side to side.
“Child,” said the mother, “you should try to walk in a straight line without twisting so much. It will make your journey much smoother and easier.”
The young Crab, however, had a clever response, “Dear mother, if you want me to walk straight, why don’t you show me how it’s done? Lead the way, and I’ll follow your example.”
The mother Crab couldn’t argue with her child’s logic. She realized that actions speak louder than words, and if she wanted her child to learn a better way of walking, she had to demonstrate it herself.
Understanding the truth in her child’s words, the mother Crab decided to set a better example. She started walking gracefully, straight ahead without unnecessary twists and turns. The little Crab eagerly followed her mother’s lead and imitated her every step.
The moral of the story is simple yet powerful: “Example is the best precept.” It teaches us that actions have a far greater impact than mere words. If we want others to follow a certain path or adopt certain behaviors, we must lead by example. Whether it’s in family life, friendship, or society as a whole, our actions can inspire and influence others in a positive way.

In a peaceful farmland, there lived a clever tomcat known for his plump figure and nimble feet. The farm was also home to a group of cautious mice who were always on the lookout for the sly cat.
One sunny afternoon, as the cat was napping on a tree branch, the mice gathered for a meeting in the safety of the barn. Worried about the constant threat posed by the cat, they brainstormed various ideas to outsmart him or find a way to get rid of him.
After much discussion, a young and bright mouse came up with a brilliant suggestion, “Why don’t we tie a bell around the cat’s neck? This way, we’ll always hear the jingling sound, and we can escape before it catches us.”
The mice were delighted with this ingenious idea, and they praised the young mouse for his cleverness. However, their excitement soon turned to hesitation as an old and wise mouse spoke up, “Indeed, the young one’s idea is exceptional, but the question is, who among us will have the courage to bell the cat?”
Silence fell upon the gathering as the mice exchanged nervous glances. No one was willing to take on such a daring task. They realized that implementing the plan required someone to get dangerously close to the cat, and that was a risk none of them were willing to take.
As they pondered this dilemma, a sudden shadow appeared at the barn’s entrance. The mice’s hearts pounded in fear, and in an instant, they scurried away to find hiding spots. The cat entered the barn, unaware of the clever plan the mice had been devising.
From that day on, the mice continued to devise new strategies to outwit the cat, but none were as foolproof as the bell idea. They learned a valuable lesson that day: even the best of ideas may require courage and action to put into practice. Though they hadn’t succeeded in belling the cat just yet, their determination remained steadfast, and they knew they would continue to adapt and thrive in the face of challenges.
And so, the farm remained a battleground between the cunning tomcat and the clever mice, with each side relying on their wits to gain an advantage. The chase continued, providing endless excitement and adventure in the peaceful farmland.

However, as they opened their food boxes, they discovered that they had very little food left. Hoping to find something to eat, they looked up at the tree, but to their disappointment, it bore no fruit.
One of the travelers expressed his frustration, saying, “What an awful tree! It doesn’t even bear any fruit.”
The other traveler chimed in, “Yes, what’s the use of a tree that doesn’t bear fruit?”
Unexpectedly, a booming voice echoed around them, “Ungrateful wretches! You sought shelter in my shade and listened to the sweet songs of the birds in my branches. You even fell asleep and woke up feeling refreshed, yet now you complain about me not having fruit for you to eat? Is it my fault that you didn’t pack enough food, or that this isn’t the season for my fruit to grow? How can you blame me when you fail to appreciate the blessings you have and only focus on what you lack?”
Startled and humbled by the voice, the two men realized their ingratitude. They walked away from the tree, deep in thought, understanding that they should be grateful for the shelter and rest it had provided them.
The moral of this story reminds us to appreciate the gifts we receive, to be thankful for the kindness of others, and not to complain about things beyond our control. Gratitude and contentment with what we have can lead to a more fulfilling and happier life.
Số 11. Truyện ngụ ngôn nước ngoài bằng tiếng Anh: The Ox and Frogs
On the outskirts of a peaceful town, there lay a serene pool of water where a community of frogs of various sizes lived happily. The frogs would hide under fronds and hop onto large lotus leaves, enjoying the tranquility of their aquatic haven.
Each evening, as the cattle returned home, their heavy footsteps would create tremors, and clouds of dust would rise, making the frogs uneasy. During these moments, the frogs would stop their croaking until the cattle passed by, as if the world around them had turned into a chaotic realm.
One fateful evening, a tired and thirsty ox approached the pool. Unaware of a tiny frog beneath his hoof, the ox waded into the water. Sadly, the little frog’s life came to an abrupt end, and its friends watched in horror as the accident unfolded before them.
Filled with grief and anger, the little frogs sought solace from a wise and aged frog living nearby. They tearfully recounted the tragedy, exclaiming, “We saw a monstrous creature today, and it killed our friend!”
The old frog, well-versed in life’s wisdom, listened intently to the young ones and asked, “A monster? Bigger than me, you say?”
“Oh, yes, much bigger than you!” the little frogs replied.
Feeling offended, the old frog inflated his body in annoyance, trying to appear larger than before. He boasted, “This big?”
The little frogs, however, were not impressed, and they teased, “No, uncle, much bigger than that!”
Enraged and determined to prove them wrong, the old frog puffed himself up even further, spreading his legs and puffing out his chest. But alas, his pride got the better of him. With a sudden and thunderous pop, the old frog burst into pieces before the astonished eyes of the little frogs.
In that moment, the young frogs learned a valuable lesson about humility and the consequences of arrogance. They realized that appearances could be deceiving, and that true greatness was not measured by size or outward displays of grandeur.
From then on, the little frogs lived with a newfound respect for nature’s ways and a deeper appreciation for the wisdom of their elders. And the pool remained a sanctuary of harmony, where the gentle croaking of frogs mingled with the peaceful rustle of leaves, creating a symphony of nature’s beautiful melody.

Nội dung truyện ngụ ngôn bằng Tiếng Anh
Once upon a time, on two hillsides, there were two frisky young goats who loved to play and frolic. Between the hills flowed a fast-flowing river, and the only way to cross it was to use the trunk of an old oak tree that acted as a bridge.
One afternoon, both goats found themselves on either side of the bridge. They looked at each other and decided to cross the bridge at the same time. However, the bridge was narrow, and there was no way for both of them to pass each other at once. Yet, neither goat was willing to back down.
In their youthful pride, they saw this as an opportunity to prove who was stronger and more dominant. Both goats were determined to show their strength, and they began to push and lock horns with each other.
The struggle intensified, and they became so engrossed in their contest that they didn’t realize the danger they were in. Suddenly, one of the goats slipped on the wet surface of the bridge, and the other, in its attempt to maintain its balance, also lost footing. They both tumbled down into the fast-flowing river below.
If only they had been wise enough to yield and let one goat cross first, the tragic accident could have been avoided. But their pride and stubbornness led to their downfall.
The moral of this story teaches us the importance of humility and wisdom. Sometimes, it’s better to give way and avoid unnecessary conflicts, as pride and ego can lead to tragic consequences. Being humble and considerate of others can help us navigate through life’s challenges safely and harmoniously.

Realizing that the Bear’s visit could spell disaster for their beloved honey, the tiny Bee mustered all its courage and stung the Bear sharply on the nose. Swiftly retreating, the little Bee returned to the safety of the log, hoping its act of bravery would deter the intruder.
However, the Bear, feeling the sting on his nose, was overcome with fury. His desire for the tempting honey intensified, and he decided to take matters into his own paws. With a loud roar, he swatted at the log with his mighty claws, determined to claim the sweet treasure for himself.

Số 14. Truyện đọc hay nhất: The Lion and The Gnat
Truyện ngụ ngôn bằng Tiếng Anh hay
Once, a Gnat was buzzing around a majestic Lion’s head. The Lion, feeling annoyed by the tiny insect, angrily ordered it to leave. However, the Gnat was not intimidated at all. In fact, he retorted spitefully, “Do you think I am afraid of you just because they call you a king?”
In a fit of rage, the Gnat decided to teach the Lion a lesson. He flew at the Lion and stung him sharply on the nose. The Lion, taken by surprise and furious, tried to strike back at the Gnat, but in his anger, he only ended up injuring himself with his own claws.
Undeterred, the persistent Gnat continued to sting the Lion repeatedly, causing him immense pain. The Lion roared terribly, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t catch the Gnat. Exhausted and covered in wounds inflicted by his own rage, the Lion eventually gave up the futile fight.
Feeling victorious, the Gnat boasted about his triumph to the world. However, his arrogance led him astray. Instead of celebrating his victory, he flew straight into a spider’s web. The spider, a much smaller and seemingly insignificant enemy, quickly ensnared the Gnat, and his supposed triumph ended in a tragic demise.
The fable teaches us an essential lesson: we should never underestimate our adversaries, no matter how small or insignificant they may seem. Pride and arrogance after a success can blind us to potential dangers. The story serves as a reminder to stay humble, cautious, and alert, for even the tiniest enemy can pose a significant threat if we let our guard down. (1)
Số 15. Truyện đọc hay nhất: Never fight over trifles
Nội dung truyện bằng tiếng Anh
In the scorching heat of high summer, a weary traveler embarked on a journey and decided to hire a donkey to aid him on his way. The donkey’s owner accompanied them, leading the beast from behind to ensure a smooth ride.
As the sun reached its zenith, both the traveler and the owner felt the need for a respite from the relentless heat. However, no shady spot was in sight. The traveler, feeling desperate, had an idea – he suggested resting in the shade of the donkey to find relief from the blazing sun.
But the owner, who also sought relief, protested, “I must sit in its shadow. After all, it is my donkey.” The traveler, slightly annoyed, responded, “But I have paid you for the donkey’s service, so I should be entitled to some shade.”
A heated argument ensued between the two, with each one adamantly defending their right to the donkey’s shadow. The dispute grew more intense, and neither was willing to back down.
In the midst of their quarrel, the clever donkey seized the opportunity to escape the heat and the tension. Seeing that its human companions were engrossed in their disagreement, the donkey swiftly galloped away, leaving the two bickering men behind.
As the dust settled, the traveler and the owner realized the folly of their argument. The donkey had taught them a valuable lesson – disputes over trivial matters only lead to unnecessary strife.
Regretful and exhausted, the traveler and the owner decided to put their differences aside and continued their journey on foot, sharing the burden of their lack of foresight.
From that day on, whenever they encountered a shady spot, they would peacefully rest together, cherishing the companionship and wisdom that the clever donkey had inadvertently bestowed upon them. And as they traversed new paths, they embraced unity and understanding, leaving behind the shadows of their petty disagreements in the brilliance of the summer sun. (2)
